Jörg Ohlig is the limited partner of the NDT - Level 3 GmbH & Co. KG

His professional career in aviation began in 1998 as a design engineer at Airbus in Varel.

These activities led him to almost all Airbus locations and aircraft construction sites in Germany and other countries.

After an internal change to the supply chain in 2008, he became the responsible procurement insurer for all castings of Airbus Germany and had to monitor and audit the suppliers of semi-finished products.

In addition, he was active as NDT inspector in all methods of the Airbus Group to gain a lot of experience.

Parallel to this position, he has developed to NDT Level 3 according to EN 4179 / NAS 410, in all processes and has been appointed as responsible NDT Level 3 for the Airbus Group plant (Premium-Aerotec) in Varel from 2010.

As the responsible NDT Level 3 test supervisor according to DIN EN 4179 / NAS 410, he has qualified various special processes at the Premium-Aerotec plant in Varel since 2010 and has certified the NDT processes according to NADCAP.

Due to his NADCAP and supply chain experience, he was frequently asked to participate in various internal and external NDT process audits at home and abroad. As a specialist for NDT processes and as an experienced consultant for NADCAP certifications, he has worked for various suppliers in the aviation industry since 2014.

During this time he supported various companies in the aviation industry in their NDT tasks and became familiar with almost all customer requirements of the aviation industry regarding non-destructive testing (NDT) processes.


In 2018 he became self-employed.

Due to this broad experience as NDT Level 3 in the aviation industry, he took the step to become self-employed in 2018, so that he could offer his customers a larger capacity and better flexibility.

The next step was to change the company name to NDT - Level 3 GmbH & Co. KG, which he leads as managing director and NDT Level 3.

As an external NDT Level 3, NDT consultant and NADCAP specialist for all NDT processes, he can now draw on experience from many customer requirements in non-destructive testing and support you from one company.
